Reminder: You’re Normal
“What is wrong with me?
That's the question I hear most often from the women who come to me for coaching.
They love their families. They're grateful for their lives. But they're also bored, rage-filled (then feel guilty for feeling the boredom and rage) and exhausted from pretending everything is fine.
They think they're the only ones who:
Watches the clock during playtime with their kids
Feels nothing when their partner compliments them
Yells down the hallway like a crazy person
Spends every evening collapsed on the couch, doom scrolling
And here's what I get to tell them every single time:
You're not abnormal. You're completely, utterly normal.
The relief that washes over their faces when they realise this? It's one of my favourite parts of coaching.
They let out a breath they didn't know they were holding.
They say "Wow" softly.
They tell me they feel lighter.
And we haven't even done anything yet. Just knowing they're not broken changes everything.
If you've been carrying around the secret belief that something is wrong with you - that other mums have it figured out and you're the only one drowning - I need you to hear this:
There is nothing wrong with you.
Your brain is doing exactly what it's designed to do. Your nervous system is responding exactly as it should. You're not abnormal.
You're just operating without the right tools.
And that? That's fixable, my love.
On January 18th, I'm hosting a free masterclass called Design Your Comeback Year, where I'm going to show you:
Why your brain keeps you stuck in overwhelm (and how to interrupt the pattern)
The missing piece that makes every productivity system fail for mums
How to create a 2026 that feels spacious instead of suffocating
This isn't about trying harder or being more disciplined.
It's about finally understanding how you work - and designing a life around that truth.
P.S. If you're reading this thinking "but I don't have time for a masterclass" - that's exactly why you need to be there.
