Why Working Mums Feel Constantly Behind

Your Monday alarm goes off at 5:30am...exhausting. You get up anyway because there's no other minute in the day to exercise.

You write your to do list at your desk. And then you just get derailed right away. You open a document, see an email, get an idea, get into an unnecessary, indepth chat with AI.

The concept of doing a top 3 feels like 3 is never going to be enough. But then you don't even get through the 3 you're meant to.

So you're in a constant loop at work, which is highly painful.

Then you go out for your walk at lunch and you're watching the clock the whole way. Because you're trying to race back to do more. You don't even enjoy the time off.

Then you finish up, go get the kids. As soon as they're playing outside or drawing – you open the laptop again. Start looking at messages… same loop as before.

You know you have to cook dinner. But you work up to the absolute last minute, then race into the kitchen not in the state of mind to cook at all. Clanging pots around because you want someone to come and help you. (Looking at you, hubby.)

Then dinner. Disassociated. Don't even remember having it.

Onto the kids' needs, getting them showered, getting them to bed. The last thing you want to do is read to them. Come out of their room. Can't even concentrate on a show. So you just scroll and waste your whole evening.

Skincare. Slapping things on your face. Can't even remember doing it.

Bed. Exhausted. Fall asleep. Wake up to pee at 2am.

Don't start thinking about work. Don't start. Just go back to sleep.” Panic meditating in the middle of the night.

Alarm at 5:30am again.

Is this a life?

It doesn't have to be.

That loop is your primitive brain running the show. And that's exactly what we're fixing at Blink and You'll Miss It this Sunday 24 May, 10am AEST. Free.
